The first consultation is an opportunity for a detailed exploration of your health concerns. We will discuss aspects such as your life, health history and diet to generate an understanding of your individual health landscape and identify any imbalances that need to be addressed.

A Chinese medicine diagnosis will be based on a traditional examination of the pulse, tongue and acupuncture channels.

A consultation will include one or more of Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, acupressure, moxibustion, cupping, food and lifestyle plans.

The most appropriate therapies will depend on your symptoms and your individual constitution.

First consultation $135
(60 mins*) $110 concession

Follow up consultations $95
(45 mins*) $85 concession

* Treatment time for children is generally shorter.

The fees above include acupuncture/acupressure, a herbal consultation and dietary guidance. The cost of herbal medicines and supplements are priced separately.

If you have private health insurance with extras cover, a rebate generally applies for acupuncture and may also be available for herbal medicine. Melanie Yong is a registered provider with most private health funds, including Medibank, BUPA, AHM, NIB, HCF, HBF, GU, CUA, Defence Health, Australian Unity and many more.

Changes and cancellations

If an appointment is missed, changed or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, the full cost of the consultation will apply.
